Gray to green - How the streets of New York are changing

About the NYGREENSTREETS image project
As a tourist I've visited New York several times in a period of 10 years. I started noticing some changes happening in the city: streets I remembered being gray and full of cars we now turned into pedestrian areas - full of life.
I started checking Google Street View and came across more and more examples of the "greenification" of the city;
new parks, pedestrian areas, trees, flower beds, baseball courts and dog parks.
I thought to myself, why not try to visualize this remarkable change?
